President's Message Happy New Year! It is a new year for Britannia/Youngstown and it starts today!
I am Danae
Kortmann-Watts and I am your new President. I was elected at the
Annual General Meeting which occurred on October 10, 2007. I will do my
best with the support of the community and executive members to make
this neighborhood one of the best places to live in Edmonton! We have some challenges to overcome but I am sure with support from you and organizations in the area that we can conquer anything that comes our way. I encourage you to voice your suggestions or concerns and you can do so by emailing us or giving one of your executive members a call. There are lots of exciting projects on the go, including the skating rink. We are working with various partners in our Community to make this happen and now we need your support to get it off and running. Keep posted to the web and find out how you can assist us! I am really excited to be living in this community and I want you to feel it too! I challenge you to make a difference, does not have to big huge – small steps will get you just as far and brings you great success and happy feelings. Here are some wise words from others that might motivate you – I know it helps me!
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
“You cannot plough a field by
“Never lose a chance of saying a kind word.”
“To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first.”
“You're happiest while you're making the greatest
contribution.” Thanks, Danae
